Short answer: all three cover Azerbaijan, only Airtel and Vi also cover Georgia

Jio, Airtel and Vi each sell packs that list Azerbaijan; for Georgia only Airtel and Vi do. Over ten days, Airtel’s ₹1,298 prepaid pack (6 GB) costs about ₹216 per GB and Jio’s ₹951 (4 GB) about ₹238; Vi’s 7-day Ultra gives 2 GB here, about ₹1,748 per GB.

Which Indian SIM works in Azerbaijan? Any Jio, Airtel or Vi SIM once international roaming is on, with a pack for data. Our Azerbaijan eSIM from India is data-only, on Azercell 5G and Nar Mobile 3G, its days counted from the first connection there.

India’s Ministry of Tourism counts 97,323 departures to Azerbaijan in 2025, against 156,882 in 2024, about 38% fewer (our calculation).

Jio international roaming in Azerbaijan: four pack lists, one of them spelt “Azerbijan”

There is no Jio Azerbaijan pack as such: four lists name the country, the 100-country, 75-country, World Pack and data-pack lists, and the heading’s spelling is the data-pack PDF’s own. The rows are a selection; prepaid and postpaid customers get the same packs.

Jio’s file puts the ₹2,851 pack in the 100-country zone despite its name, so confirm Azerbaijan in MyJio. Pack validity starts at first use: “Your plan validity begins only with your first usage—call, text, or data.”

Airtel and Vi packs for Azerbaijan: Vi’s Budget Set 2 (table)

Every Airtel IR pack Azerbaijan travellers can book comes from Airtel’s one prepaid set, bookable up to 30 days ahead; if you do not travel within 30 days, the pack expires with no reimbursement. Vi lists Azerbaijan in its non-UL zone and in Budget Set 2, the smaller-allowance set.

Vi’s postpaid table has Azerbaijan in Set 2; we could not confirm that this country table is current. BSNL lists it as a prepaid and postpaid partner, a network rather than a pack. Vi’s prepaid T&C say IR packs are “not applicable for customers in J&K, Assam and North East”. Airtel’s FAQ page still prints older prices than its T&C of 24 Sep 2026.

Baku with Tbilisi on one trip: where a Jio pack stops

None of Jio’s roaming lists we read, the Global Pack included, names Georgia. A Jio pack bought for Baku covers the Azerbaijan days only; for the Tbilisi leg there is no Jio pack to buy (Georgia comparison). Airtel’s single list names both countries, as do Vi’s non-UL and Budget Set 2 lists, so one Airtel or Vi pack spans the loop.

Cost per GB for a 7-day and a 10-day Azerbaijan trip

A week: Airtel’s shortest fit is the 10-day ₹1,298, first at about ₹216 per GB. Jio’s is the 7-day ₹599 data pack, about ₹599 per GB, no calls (with calls, the 10-day ₹951 is about ₹238). Vi’s 7-day Ultra comes last at about ₹1,748.

Ten days: Airtel’s ₹1,298 still leads at about ₹216 per GB, ₹130 a day, and Jio’s ₹951 is next at about ₹238, ₹95 a day. Vi’s 10-day Ultra, 3 GB, comes to about ₹1,565.

Rows link the operator documents they come from, with dates. For Jio international roaming in Azerbaijan we searched five Jio country lists, Global Pack included, for Georgia too. Vi’s zones are an image we transcribed by hand; confirm Azerbaijan in the Vi app.
