Short answer: which Indian packs cover Iraq

Airtel’s ₹1,298 prepaid pack gives 6 GB over 10 days, about ₹216 per GB, the lowest in our tables. Jio’s shortest voice-and-data pack that lists Iraq is the ₹1,499 World Pack, 2 GB over 14 days. Vi’s Haj pack gives 2 GB over 20 days for ₹1,199. Prices as listed on 19 Oct 2026.

Which Indian SIM works in Iraq? A Jio, Airtel or Vi SIM works once international roaming is on, but for mobile data, plan on a roaming pack: without one, Airtel bars prepaid data abroad and Vi keeps mobile data off.

Jio international roaming plans for Iraq: the World Pack and the data packs, not the 100-country pack

There is no Jio Iraq pack as such. With calls, the shortest is the World Pack: ₹1,499 for 2 GB over 14 days, then ₹2,899 for 5 GB over 30 days. The smallest data pack, ₹599, gives 1 GB over 7 days and no calls.

The Global Pack (₹1,101 or ₹1,102, 28 days) also lists Iraq, but it is a balance spent at standard roaming rates, not a data pack.

Airtel and Vi packs for Iraq, including Vi’s Haj pack (table)

Airtel sells one prepaid set for every covered country, so the Airtel IR pack Iraq travellers buy is the same as anywhere else. The table shows its 5-, 10- and 30-day packs. Vi lists Iraq on three prepaid lists: non-UL, Budget Set 2 and the Haj pack.

Vi’s Haj pack lists three countries: Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iraq. Iraq is outside Vi’s 40-country UL zone, where Ultra data is printed as FREE, so the ₹3,495 Ultra pack gives 2 GB and 200 minutes over 7 days.

Vi’s postpaid table puts Iraq in Set 2; we could not confirm that this country table is current. BSNL lists Iraq on its prepaid and postpaid partner lists, and a partner network is not a pack. Vi’s prepaid T&C say IR packs are “not applicable for customers in J&K, Assam and North East”. Airtel lets you book a prepaid pack up to 30 days before travel; if you do not travel within 30 days, it expires with no reimbursement. Airtel’s FAQ page still shows ₹898 and ₹1,198; the T&C dated 24 Sep 2026 list ₹998 and ₹1,298.

Iraq with Saudi Arabia or the UAE on one trip: which pack lists all of them

Jio’s World Pack and data packs list Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the UAE together, as do Vi’s Haj pack and Airtel’s single list. Jio’s Saudi pack prints “Pack applicable in Saudi Arabia only.” A Jio 100- or 75-country pack bought for Saudi Arabia or the UAE does not cover the Iraq leg either: both lists skip Iraq.

On Vi’s other prepaid packs each country keeps its own zone. Iraq plus Saudi Arabia is non-UL on both legs; Iraq plus the UAE mixes non-UL and UL. On Budget packs Iraq is Set 2, where ₹995 buys 250 MB over 10 days. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are Set 1, where the same ₹995 buys 1.25 GB. One pack then carries two sets of terms; how Vi counts it across both is not in its terms, so ask Vi.

Cost per GB for a 7-day and a 20-day Iraq trip

Verdict test, in words: each operator’s shortest pack that lasts the whole trip, ranked by price per GB, with Vi’s FREE-data rows left out (Iraq has none). ₹ per GB is our division, from prices listed on 19 Oct 2026. The two trip lengths are a week and twenty days, the Haj pack’s own length.

A week: Airtel has no 7-day prepaid pack, so its fit is the 10-day ₹1,298, first at about ₹216 per GB. Jio’s 7-day ₹599 data pack follows at about ₹599 with no calls; with calls, the 14-day World Pack is about ₹750. Vi comes last: its 7-day Ultra is about ₹1,748 per GB.

Twenty days: Airtel’s fit is the 30-day ₹2,998, first at about ₹300 per GB. The next three land at about ₹580, ₹590 and ₹600 per GB, about the same: Jio’s 30-day World Pack with calls, Jio’s 21-day data pack, and Vi’s 20-day Haj pack. If 2 GB is enough, the Haj pack is also the smallest total at ₹1,199. Jio’s World Pack costs ₹2,899, Airtel’s 30-day pack ₹2,998 and Jio’s 21-day data pack ₹5,899.

Bank OTPs go to your Indian number, which our data-only eSIM does not have. Keep the Indian SIM in as a second line with mobile data off; nobody can promise every OTP will reach you (OTP guide).
