ICCID number: what it is, where an iPhone or your order page shows it, and when you need it
An ICCID number identifies one SIM card or eSIM profile: guides print 18 to 22 digits; GSMA’s SGP.22 sets 19 or 20 for server messages. It is not your mobile number and not your phone’s IMEI. You need it when support asks which line you mean; for our travel eSIM it is printed on your order page.
What an ICCID number is
ICCID stands for Integrated Circuit Card Identifier. Every eSIM profile you download comes with its own ICCID, which is not the ICCID of your Indian SIM. A new SIM or eSIM profile brings a new ICCID, while the IMEI stays with the phone.
GSMA’s eSIM specification SGP.22 defines it as a “Unique number to identify a Profile in an eUICC as defined by ITU-T E.118”. GSMA’s SGP.29 (version 1.1, 22 March 2024) adds: “The ICCID is defined by the ITU-T recommendation E.118 … as a Primary Account Number.” For the messages eSIM servers exchange, SGP.22 fixes the length: “the ICCID SHALL either consist of 19 or 20 digits”, and “the 20th digit MAY optionally be the padding character F”. Guides online print 18 to 22 digits, so copy the whole number instead of counting. We give no digit-by-digit breakdown, because the ITU-T E.118 text is not among our sources.
Find the ICCID on an iPhone
The ICCID sits in the iPhone’s own Settings: tap General, then About, and scroll. Apple Support India page 108037 (published 25 May 2026) notes: “You may need to scroll down to find the EID, IMEI/MEID and ICCID.” For a support form, Apple’s advice is to “touch and hold the number to copy”.
Apple’s second route is a Mac. Connect the iPhone, open the Finder, and “click Phone Number under your device name or the device model” to see the EID, IMEI/MEID and ICCID. Apple’s page does not say how the ICCIDs of two lines are told apart, so for the travel eSIM copy the number from your order page, where the row is labelled.

Find the ICCID on an Android phone
The Android maker pages we read print no path to the ICCID. Google’s Pixel Help page on phone ID numbers (10402530, no date on the page) covers the IMEI and the EID, not the ICCID. The Samsung India pages we read name no ICCID path either, so we print none for any Android brand.
You need no path for a travel eSIM: its ICCID is on your order page, whatever phone you use. For your Indian SIM’s ICCID, ask your operator.
Your travel eSIM’s ICCID is on your order page
On esimgo.in, your order page has a Manual setup panel, open by default on a computer. It has four rows with copy buttons, and the last one is labelled ICCID. The row is there before you install the eSIM, so you can note the number before you fly.
Send that number with your order number if one of our eSIMs does not connect, so we can find your profile. The ICCID of your Indian SIM belongs to another line and tells us nothing about the travel eSIM. The install guide shows where the new line appears in your settings, and the QR code guide covers the other Manual setup rows.
The ICCID is not your mobile number: Jio, Airtel and Vi
Your mobile number is the one people call; the ICCID names the SIM or eSIM profile that carries it. The eSIM pages of Jio,
Airtel and Vi we read on 20 Oct 2026 do not use the word ICCID. Airtel and Vi ask for the EID, and Jio speaks of a “19-digit SIM number” without calling it the ICCID.
When you move a Jio number to an eSIM by SMS, Jio’s eSIM request page states: “You’ll also get a 19-digit SIM number on your Jio number.” Its next step reads: “Next, type SIMCHG <19-digit SIM number> and send it to 199.” Jio does not say that this SIM number is the ICCID, and we do not either. If Jio asks for it, use the number Jio sends you; the full steps are on Jio’s page.
ICCID, IMEI and EID in one line each
The ICCID names one SIM or one eSIM profile. The IMEI names the phone: Google says “Pixel phones that can use both eSIM and SIM cards have two IMEI numbers, one for each kind of SIM”. The EID names the eSIM chip, and GSMA’s SGP.29 sets its length at 32 digits.
The side-by-side table is on the IMEI number page. The EID number page and the glossary cover the rest, and the help centre lists the other pre-trip checks.
