Xiaomi India lists eSIM for five of the 14 models we read on mi.com/in on 12 Oct 2026: the Xiaomi 14, 15, 15 Ultra and 17, and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. The other nine India pages list no eSIM, including every other Redmi Note 14 and 15 model we read. ## Short answer: five India models list eSIM on Xiaomi India's pages The model number decides, not the family name. Xiaomi India reads "Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM)" for the Xiaomi 15 and 14, but "Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM)" for the 14 Ultra. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G lists eSIM; the Note 15 Pro 5G does not. Xiaomi adds a caveat on the Xiaomi 14, 15 Ultra, 17 and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G pages: "eSIM availability may vary depending on country/region and carrier". Your phone's SIM settings are the final check. ## Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO models and eSIM (table, checked date) The table shows all 14 India rows and quotes the SIM line from each mi.com/in page, opened on 12 Oct 2026. Five list eSIM and nine do not. Rows from Xiaomi's global pages stay out of this table, because a global page says nothing certain about the unit sold here. All 33 models are on the [eSIM phone list](/esim-compatible-phones/). | Model | eSIM on Xiaomi India | SIM line on the page | Source | Checked | |---|---|---|---|---| | [Xiaomi 17](/esim-compatible-phones/#xiaomi-17) | Yes | "Dual SIM" and "eSIM support" | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-17/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Xiaomi 15 Ultra](/esim-compatible-phones/#xiaomi-15-ultra) | Yes | Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM) | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-15-ultra/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | Xiaomi 15 | Yes | Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM) | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-15/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Xiaomi 14](/esim-compatible-phones/#xiaomi-14) | Yes | Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM) | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-14/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G | Yes | nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-15-pro-plus-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Xiaomi 14 Ultra](/esim-compatible-phones/#xiaomi-14-ultra) | No | Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM) | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-14-ultra/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Xiaomi 14 CIVI](/esim-compatible-phones/#xiaomi-14-civi) | No | Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM) | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/xiaomi-14-civi/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-note-15-pro-5g) | Not listed: treat as no | Dual Sim | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-15-pro-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi Note 15 5G](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-note-15-5g) | No | nano SIM 1 + Hybrid (nano SIM or microSD) | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-15-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-note-14-pro-plus) | Not listed: treat as no | SIM Slot: Dual Nano | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-14-pro-plus-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-note-14-pro-5g) | Not listed: treat as no | SIM Slot: Dual Nano | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-14-pro-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi Note 14 5G](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-note-14-5g) | Not listed: treat as no | SIM & SD card: Dual Sim, Micro SD card Slot | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-14-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-note-13-pro-plus) | Not listed: treat as no | Dual SIM, Dual Standby | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-note-13-pro-plus-5g/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | | [Redmi A5](/esim-compatible-phones/#redmi-a5) | Not listed: treat as no | Dual SIM + microSD, supports dual 4G | [mi.com/in](https://www.mi.com/in/product/redmi-a5/specs/) | 12 Oct 2026 | Source: Xiaomi India spec pages, opened 12 Oct 2026. "Not listed" means the page shows no eSIM line; it is not an official "not supported". ## Global spec vs the phone sold in India A global spec page is not an Indian one, so a global "e sim Redmi" answer may not fit your phone. Xiaomi's global pages for the 15T, 15T Pro, 14T, 14T Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G list "nano SIM + eSIM" with a regional caveat. With no India page for those five, the hub marks them "depends". The other 14 global pages we read, among them the POCO X8, X7 Pro, X7, X6, F7 and F5 and the Redmi Note 12, list no eSIM. A list elsewhere that says a POCO supports eSIM does not match Xiaomi's own pages. For a phone you imported, look in its SIM settings for an option to add an eSIM, such as "Add eSIM"; menu names change between software versions. realme India lists no eSIM on its three pages either; see the [realme eSIM page](/esim-realme/). ## No eSIM on your Redmi or POCO? Your options abroad Phones without eSIM show no option to add one in their SIM settings, and a travel eSIM will not install on them. Three options remain: your operator's roaming pack, a physical local SIM bought after you land, or a second phone with eSIM. A pocket WiFi alternative is one more device to carry and charge. **Operator pack.** Airtel's prepaid pack at ₹998 gives 4 GB for 5 days, 150 minutes and 20 SMS, as listed on 13 Oct 2026 ([Airtel T&C](https://assets.airtel.in/static-assets/online-recharge-ui/assets/pdf/tnc.pdf)). Jio and Vi sell packs too; the [roaming comparison pages](/roaming/) put them in tables with checked dates. We sell travel eSIMs, so we have an interest here; those tables also show when your operator pack is the better choice. **Local SIM.** Most Redmi and POCO pages we read show two physical SIM slots. On the Redmi Note 15 5G the second slot is hybrid, "nano SIM or microSD", so a memory card there leaves no room for a second SIM. To buy a physical travel SIM instead, you need a free slot, so keep your Indian SIM in the other one for OTPs; the [OTP guide](/help/keep-indian-sim-for-otp/) covers dual-SIM settings. See also [eSIM vs physical SIM](/esim-vs-physical-sim/). **Second phone.** A spare eSIM phone can carry the travel eSIM for data. The [Android install guide](/how-to-install-esim/android/) covers setup at home on Wi-Fi. ## Sources Checked on 12 Oct 2026 (IST). Each page's SIM line was read on that date. 1. Only on some models. Xiaomi India lists eSIM for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G but not for the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 15 5G, the three Redmi Note 14 models, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G or the Redmi A5 (checked 12 Oct 2026). Check the exact model. ### Does the Xiaomi 14 have eSIM in India? Yes. Xiaomi India lists "Dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM)" for the Xiaomi 14, with the note that availability may vary by country, region and carrier. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra lists two nano SIMs and no eSIM. ### Do POCO phones support eSIM? None of the POCO pages we read lists eSIM. We read global pages for the X8, X7 Pro, X7, X6 Pro, X6, X5 Pro 5G, F7, F6 Pro and F5; we hold no India page for them. ### Why do some sites say my Redmi has eSIM? Xiaomi's global pages list eSIM for models such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, with a note that availability varies by region. We hold no India page for that model, so the Indian unit is unconfirmed. ### What if my Redmi or POCO has no eSIM? A travel eSIM cannot be installed. Use an Indian roaming pack on your own SIM, a physical local SIM after you land, or a second phone with eSIM for data.
